Glasgow-based Caley Ocean Systems designs and manufactures offshore handling systems for the energy, defence, oceanographic science and seismic industries. Caley’s in-house design facilities are in Glasgow, and they company has a dedicated manufacturing plant in Renfrew, with direct access to the River Clyde. This allows Caley’s high-performance equipment to be used in projects around the world, for clients including JFD, FlashTekk and Technip. Working within Caley is Pipelay Systems, which offers bespoke lay solutions for rigid and flexible pipes, flowlines, risers, umbilicals and power cables. Pipelay’s modular systems can be used in the oil, gas and renewable energy industries.
Umbilicals International (UI) designs and manufactures high performance cables, hoses and umbilical systems for the international seismic, energy and defence industries. UI’s purpose-built manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas houses specialist equipment for the ongoing production, service and repair of dynamic subsea cable and umbilical products. In 2017, UI opened an office and manufacturing plant within Caley’s facilities in Glasgow, allowing products and operations to be truly integrated.
IMES International provides a comprehensive inspection, monitoring and engineering services to the marine, energy, defence and aerospace industries. From its six UK offices and with more than 30 years’ experience to draw on, IMES can confidently handle the continued integrity of mechanical devices which are involved in lifting or moving equipment. IMES is fully independent from crane and lifting manufacturer, and can offer an unbiased approach to international projects to clients including the Ministry of Defence, BAE Systems, Bibby Offshore and Statoil.

Flexlife is a specialist in the integrity management of flexible pipelines and umbilicals, and uses its patented technology to maximise the performance of critical subsea assets. Flexlife operates from its offices in Aberdeen and Houston, and uses its technology globally.
